Our handprinted Cotton Silk scarves are made in small batches with skilled artisans in India. Each scarf carries an original design by Susy Pilgrim Waters and a one-of-a-kind upcycled sari silk edge — no two are identical. These edges are carefully curated from once-worn Indian wedding saris: densely woven bands of luminous silk, finished in jewel tones — saffron, crimson, peacock, harvest gold — and repurposed as the eyelash edging on each print design by Susy.

SARI EDGE:

Each scarf is finished with a one-of-a-kind upcycled sari silk border sourced in India. The selection is deliberate: each sari border is chosen by hand to complement the colorway of Susy’s print, so that the edge doesn’t merely finish the scarf — it completes it. A flash of fuchsia against an inky ground. A sweep of gold alongside a warm amber print. The result is something neither the sari nor the print could achieve alone. Because every wedding sari is made once and worn once, every edge is entirely singular — and so is every scarf.
