Dash is our adventure in silkscreen printed textiles, composed of three panels:
• The extra-large silk-screened placement print
• The compelling mustard rectangle
• The Domino dotty square
Crafted by skilled artisans in West Bengal, our Dash quilt honors the tradition of quilts cherished as family heirlooms. Each piece is stitched using the Kantha technique, with chosen cotton thread colors building the quilt’s body and structure.
A unique detail sets this quilt apart — within a six-inch square, printed dashes are delicately oversewn with embroidery thread, creating a subtle focal point on the stone-colored reverse. The quilt is beautifully dual-sided.
Every Kantha stitch is sewn by hand, a process taking up to four weeks, ensuring each quilt is a labor of love.

Will it fit my bed?
At ~60” × ~90” (152 × 228 cm), Dash works beautifully as a throw or coverlet on a Twin or Full bed, and as a decorative layer on a Queen. It is not intended as a full-coverage duvet on a King. See our quilt sizes guide for a full bed-size comparison.
Is it reversible?
Yes — Dash is beautifully dual-sided. The reverse is a warm stone color with a subtle embroidered focal point created by the oversewn dashes, making it a design feature in its own right.
Can I use it as a sofa throw?
Absolutely. Its generous size and lightweight silk-cotton blend make it ideal as a sofa drape or layering piece. The Kantha stitching adds texture and warmth without bulk.
How is each quilt unique?
Because Dash is hand silk-screened and Kantha-stitched in small batches, no two quilts are identical. Slight variations in print placement, thread color, and stitch density are hallmarks of authentic handcraft — not imperfections.
How long does it take to make?
Each quilt takes up to four weeks to complete. The Kantha stitching alone — thousands of running stitches sewn entirely by hand — accounts for most of that time.
What is Kantha?
Kantha is a centuries-old South Asian quilting tradition originating in West Bengal. It uses a simple running stitch to bind layers of cloth, creating a subtly rippled texture. Our artisans carry this heritage technique into every piece.
Can I wash it at home?
We recommend dry cleaning to preserve the silk fibers and printed colors. If you prefer to wash at home, use a delicate cycle with cold water and a gentle detergent, then lay flat to dry. Avoid tumble drying.
