Tray Stand Assembly

Good news: assembling your maple tray stand is an absolute doddle. Two pieces, no tools, no hardware, no head-scratching. Once you’ve got the feel for it, you’ll have it together in seconds — and back apart just as quickly.

Step-by-step

  1. Check orientation : Hold one side in each hand and confirm the notches are facing each other — they’ll want to find each other, promise (step 1).
  2. Angle the pieces : Rotate them to roughly 45° relative to each other and bring the notches into alignment. Nearly there (step 2).
  3. Slide together : Gently slide the pieces down into each other. Resting the bottom on the floor helps guide everything into place. Bob’s your uncle (step 3).
Step 1 — check orientation, notches facing each other
Step 1 — Check orientation
Step 2 — angle pieces at 45 degrees, align notches
Step 2 — Angle at 45°
Step 3 — slide notches together
Step 3 — Slide together
A note on the fit : The joint is intentionally loose — that’s a feature, not a fault. It makes assembly and disassembly a breeze and keeps the wood happy for years to come.

To disassemble

Simply reverse the steps — lift and rotate the two sides apart. Ta-da! They store flat inside the tray itself, neat as you like, ready to hang on the wall with our custom hook.

A little care goes a long way

Keep the stand dry. A quick wipe with a damp cloth is all it needs — just dry it off straight away. It’s not one for the great outdoors or prolonged damp, but indoors it’ll last beautifully.

See it in action

Sometimes it’s easier to just watch. Here’s a short video of the two pieces coming together.
