Drawn from the quieter edges of the natural world — the shoreline, the sky, the leaf-dappled light — The Coastline Collection brings together three of our most serene designs. Featuring our Seafood, Dove, and Leaves tea towels, each an original illustration by Susy Pilgrim Waters, handprinted on generously sized flour sack cotton.
Made from soft, absorbent flour sack cotton woven in Michigan and hand-printed in Rhode Island, these towels become even softer with every wash. Large enough to dry dishes and glassware, wrap warm bread, line a serving basket, or hang on display — they are designed for everyday use and enjoyment for years to come.
Three designs that share a quiet, coastal sensibility — at home in a kitchen by the sea, or any kitchen that could use a little of that feeling.

What is a flour sack tea towel, and why do you use it?
Flour sack cotton is a tightly woven, lint-free cotton originally used to bag flour — and it's simply the best material for a working kitchen towel. It's exceptionally absorbent, soaking up spills far better than standard terry cloth, yet lightweight and quick-drying, so it's ready to use again in minutes. It won't leave fibres on your glassware, and with every wash it gets softer and more supple. It's the towel preferred by many serious cooks — and the reason we've used it from the start.
Will the print fade after washing?
Screenprinted inks are set to last. Wash warm with like colors and avoid bleach. The colors will fade slightly after several repeat washes — a natural characteristic of the hand-printing process.
Is it a good gift?
Yes — a collection is a particularly good one. Three original designs, all made in the USA, arriving together as a set. There's something genuinely pleasing about giving someone a little curated world rather than a single thing.
Each towel is beautiful enough to frame. Seriously — a few of our customers have done exactly that, tucking one into a simple frame and hanging it in the kitchen like the small piece of art it is. The others go to work on the dish rack. Both uses feel right.
It makes a lovely housewarming gift, a thoughtful hostess gift, or a treat for anyone who takes quiet pleasure in a well-made kitchen. Leave a note at checkout and we'll add a personal message.
How big are they?
Each towel is approx. 30" × 30" (76 × 76 cm) — generously sized for everyday kitchen use. Flour sack cotton has a natural stretch and give, so these aren't precision-cut squares. Each towel is a little different, which is part of what makes them handmade.
Will it be restocked?
Yup. Each design is re-printed when we run low. When a batch sells out we reprint, but the next batch will have its own unique characteristics — no two batch colors are truly identical.
Can I return or exchange my tea towels?
Returns are accepted within 14 days of purchase on items that are unused and in their original condition. Read our full return policy for details.
